A warning naming an auxiliary battery does not necessarily refer to the main starting battery. Multi-battery arrangements vary, and the affected battery’s function must be identified before replacement.
Keep the exact message
Provide the vehicle details, warning wording and any battery work already performed. Ask the garage to identify which supply it tested and how that relates to the warning. A good result from the main battery does not automatically settle an auxiliary-system complaint.
Do not disconnect unfamiliar battery assemblies or assume chemistry and capacity from size. The correct specification and service procedure matter. An enquiry should distinguish battery condition, charging path and monitoring faults so a warning is not repeatedly treated by replacing the wrong component.
