Displayed charge can change while parked, but the amount and circumstances matter. Remote features, temperature and vehicle activity should be recorded before the change is treated as lost battery capacity.
Build a parked-period comparison
Keep starting and ending percentages, duration, weather and enabled functions. State whether the car was plugged in and whether apps or accessories repeatedly woke it. Avoid checking so frequently that the observation method changes the behaviour.
Follow the model’s storage guidance. If the drop is substantial, new or accompanied by warnings, send the record for assessment. The workshop should distinguish energy use while inactive from an estimate changing or a battery-related fault. A single overnight comparison without the vehicle’s operating context cannot settle that distinction.
