Road tested is an incomplete description when the complaint depends on a particular temperature, load or duration. The report should state which conditions were achieved and what was observed.
Ask for a meaningful scope
Keep journey duration, relevant operating conditions and whether warnings or symptoms returned. Not every condition can be safely recreated, and the workshop should say when that limits the conclusion.
A successful short drive does not automatically verify a fault that usually appears after an hour. Equally, a limited test can still provide useful evidence if described accurately. For follow-up, connect new observations to the original job reference so further testing is targeted rather than repeating an unspecified road test.
