An engine that starts infrequently in a hybrid can present a complaint that is easy to miss during a short appointment. Explain whether the roughness occurs after overnight parking, after a period of electric driving or at every engine start.
Arrange a useful test opportunity
Tell the workshop if warming the vehicle before arrival usually removes the symptom. It may prefer an overnight stay or another agreed way to observe the first event. Include fuel history, servicing and any stored engine codes alongside hybrid-system information.
Do not assume that the electric-to-petrol transition itself proves a hybrid electronics fault. Engine mechanical condition, fuel, ignition and control inputs may need separate consideration. Record the duration and severity without repeatedly forcing starts using unfamiliar diagnostic routines. If there is a strong fuel smell, severe vibration or a serious warning, obtain advice before further use. Preserve the original scan before any reset changes the evidence.
