Two state-of-health figures are not automatically comparable. Tools may expose different controller estimates or apply different test methods. Keep the report date, vehicle conditions and explanation of the calculation with each number.
Ask what the percentage represents
Was the result read from the vehicle, estimated from a journey or measured through a defined assessment? Record software changes and battery work between reports. A single unexplained percentage should not be used to promise a replacement battery will solve a range complaint.
Send both complete reports and actual symptoms for review. The workshop should explain uncertainty and repeatability, not simply choose the lower figure. A meaningful comparison uses a consistent method under the conditions that method requires.
