A used body module may carry configuration and vehicle-specific information that affects several functions. Physical fit does not establish that it can be correctly adapted through the available service route.
Confirm before purchasing
Provide both module identities, vehicle details and the original fault report. Ask the specialist about compatibility, ownership verification and supported setup requirements. Retain the original unit and do not assume every data item should be copied blindly.
If the replacement is already fitted, preserve its warnings and changed functions. The assessment should distinguish adaptation limits from an unresolved vehicle circuit. The objective is correct authorised operation with traceable records, not bypassing security or hiding configuration warnings to make an unsuitable unit appear usable.
