An engine that stalls when lights, heating or another electrical load is selected needs the sequence recorded accurately. The load may reveal an existing problem; it does not automatically identify the alternator, battery or ECU as defective.
Identify the trigger
State which control was used, whether the engine was cold and whether the dashboard dimmed or reset. Note if the same load causes a problem with the engine warm. Include recent charging-system, battery or idle-quality work.
Do not repeatedly provoke stalling in traffic or disconnect the charging system as an experiment. The workshop should compare electrical supply behaviour and engine response under controlled conditions. Send any scan and measurements with their operating context. If several loads trigger the same event, report that rather than listing them as unrelated faults. A repair recommendation should connect the actual stall to measured evidence, not rely on a controller code found after the engine stopped.
