Identify the lighting technology before discussing repair: a replaceable bulb, discharge system and integrated LED assembly can require different equipment and procedures. Report which lamp flickers and whether it occurs at startup, continuously or only over certain conditions.
Record the surrounding symptoms
Does the other lamp remain stable, does the dashboard show a warning, and do other electrical functions change at the same time? Include recent lamp replacement, collision repair or visible condensation. Do not open high-voltage lighting equipment or swap unfamiliar modules as an improvised test.
What the evidence should distinguish
The technician needs to assess the supply and connections alongside the lamp and its control equipment. A flicker seen by eye does not identify which part is failing. The correct fault descriptions and any measured operating data should support the recommendation.
