A warning that begins immediately after a lighting change should include the original and replacement product details. Record whether the light works, flickers, stays on faintly or fails completely. Compatibility is a more useful starting question than assuming the lighting controller has developed a new fault.
Preserve the original configuration
Keep the original lamps and any packaging or installation instructions. Note whether adapters, additional wiring or resistors were fitted. Do not add improvised loads or alter protective circuits to silence a warning. Confirm that the lighting equipment is suitable for the vehicle and intended road use.
Separate a warning from a hardware diagnosis
The workshop may need to establish how the fitted system monitors its lamps and whether the replacement behaves as expected. A code describing a lamp circuit should be read with the actual installation. It does not automatically justify BCM coding or replacement.
For AXION, include the vehicle, lamp position and exact products used. Ask whether the enquiry concerns restoring the original specification, investigating damaged wiring or assessing a supported configuration. Keep the repair objective clear. Road-use approval of a modification is a separate question from whether an electrical warning can be removed.
