UK postal module repair: how to send your unit
A practical guide to enquiries, module identification, secure packaging and delivery to AXION Automotive in Didcot.
Contact us before sending a unit
A postal repair starts with identifying the module and the fault. Send a clear photograph of its label, the vehicle registration, make and model, and the diagnostic fault codes. Include a short explanation of what happens, when it started and any work already attempted.
Wait for the team to confirm what to send. Some jobs require only the electronic module; others need the original and a compatible donor. Sending extra components without checking can complicate identification and handling.
What to include with the parcel
- Your name, contact number and return address.
- Your agreed job or enquiry reference, if provided.
- Vehicle details and the complete module part number.
- A printed symptom summary and diagnostic scan report.
- Clear identification of the original and donor units where applicable.
Keep a copy of this information and photographs of the module and packaging before dispatch. Do not write over manufacturer labels or connectors.
Pack the electronics securely
Have the unit removed by a suitably qualified person using the correct vehicle procedure. Protect exposed connectors and pins, use suitable anti-static protection for exposed electronics, and cushion the unit on every side inside a sturdy box. It should not move when the closed box is gently handled.
Do not place loose metal parts against a circuit board. Keep originals and donors separately protected and labelled. If a unit contains fluid or has leaked, contact us for handling instructions before posting it; the carrier may have its own restrictions.
Choose a tracked service with cover appropriate to the value and the carrier’s terms. Keep the tracking number until the job has been returned.
Postal address and local drop-off
AXION Automotive
Unit 2, Long Wittenham Rd
Didcot, Oxfordshire

Confirm your job with us before posting. If you prefer to bring the module to Didcot, arrange a drop-off time first so the correct team can receive it.
Assessment, quotation and return
Once the module is received, its condition and reported symptoms guide the assessment. Findings determine whether repair, further investigation or a compatible donor route is appropriate. Discuss the proposed work, price and estimated timing with the team before proceeding.
Before refitting, confirm any coding, adaptation or vehicle checks with your installer. A bench repair does not replace diagnosis of wiring, power supply or other vehicle faults that may have caused the original problem.
