Uneven cabin temperature needs a more specific description than “the heater is broken”. Identify the affected side, selected temperatures and whether the complaint changes when both zones are set alike. First confirm from the handbook how the vehicle’s zone controls are intended to operate.
Separate temperature from airflow
Tell the workshop whether both sides blow with similar strength and whether the affected side stays cold, stays hot or changes unpredictably. Note any clicking from the dashboard, but do not assume that a noise identifies the failed part. Preserve the history of dashboard or climate repairs.
What a useful assessment compares
The technician may need to compare requested settings with actual control responses and outlet conditions. That vehicle-level evidence is more useful than removing a climate controller because one side behaves differently. Different equipment versions may need different diagnostic procedures.
