Air reaching the windscreen when face vents are selected is a distribution complaint, not necessarily a lack of heating or refrigeration. Record the requested mode and the vents that actually deliver air.
Compare temperature and direction separately
State whether the air temperature responds normally and whether both sides behave alike. Include clicking behind the dashboard and recent heater-box or trim work. A control display changing does not prove the mechanism reached the requested position.
The technician should use the appropriate system information to assess requests, feedback and mechanical movement. Avoid repeated calibration attempts before checking for obstruction or installation problems. If the windscreen cannot be demisted, arrange repair before using the vehicle in conditions where visibility would be compromised.
