Enabling an option in software does not create missing sensors, wiring or compatible hardware. A retrofit needs the complete equipment and service requirements established before configuration changes are attempted.
Define the intended function
Keep part identities, vehicle specification and the installer’s plan. Ask which calibration, wiring and verification steps are required. Do not infer support because another vehicle of the same model offers the feature.
If a retrofit has already caused warnings, preserve the original configuration and work record. A specialist should assess the supported route and any limitations. Safety-related features require appropriate validation; a menu appearing on the screen is not proof that the feature operates correctly or that every required component is present.
