Describe the steering concern clearly
Tell us whether assistance is absent, intermittent or different from normal. Include when the warning appears and whether the issue began after battery work, an alignment, steering repairs, a collision or a module change. Do not carry out a road test simply to reproduce a potentially unsafe fault for an enquiry.
If a garage has inspected the car, send its full scan and findings. Include the original and replacement part numbers if a rack, column or control unit has already been changed. A fault-code screenshot without the vehicle details is rarely enough to confirm the correct next step.
The scope of this service
Electronic Power-Steering Diagnostics is an initial assessment of reported electronic warnings and related control faults on supported vehicles. Further investigation depends on the vehicle and the findings. We discuss suitability before accepting the appointment.
Mechanical steering work, rack or column replacement and wheel alignment are outside the initial assessment price. Calibration or programming requirements must be checked for the exact application. A code mentioning a steering component does not establish which repair is needed.

Bringing the vehicle to AXION
Our workshop is in Didcot and visits are by appointment. Send the warning and symptoms first. If steering assistance is unreliable or the vehicle is unsafe to drive, discuss recovery instead of driving it to the workshop.
The complete vehicle will normally be needed for assessment. Do not remove a steering assembly or post it to us without an agreed job scope.
