B2012 describes an implausible dataset in Ross-Tech’s VAG reference. The related B2013 concerns missing end-of-line programming. Both can point towards installation or parameterisation work after a controller change, rather than a fault cured by ordinary code clearing.
Coding and parameterisation are different records
A controller may accept a coding string while still lacking the application data needed for correct operation. Ross-Tech describes an authorised manufacturer-connected SVM route for relevant dataset concerns and notes that not every controller is parameterised in the same way.
For the enquiry, retain the original and replacement identities, complete scan and installation history. State whether the unit is new or used and whether any data-writing operation has already been attempted.
Avoid compensating with unrelated adjustments
Missing application data should not be disguised by changing calibration values or copying another car’s settings. The supported installation procedure should establish what data belongs in the module and which setup steps follow.
AXION can review suitable VAG programming enquiries before further work is arranged. Include the B2013 reference where that is the recorded fault. Compatibility, authorised access and final functional checks need to be agreed for the exact controller, especially when suspension, lighting or other safety-related equipment is involved.
Arrange an assessment
For module programming and coding, send the vehicle details and fault report to AXION. We support enquiries from drivers and garages. Workshop, postal and remote options depend on the job and are confirmed before booking.
Technical reference
Read the supporting technical documentation. The referenced design or vehicle application defines its scope; it is not a universal repair procedure.
