Describe the starting sequence
Does the ignition switch on? Is there a steering-lock warning? Does the starter operate? Keep those observations separate and include the full vehicle scan. A no-start description by itself does not distinguish a lock problem from an unrelated engine fault.
Provide the module identity and any previous key, comfort-module or column work. Protected replacement functions may involve other controllers, so retain the original units until the supported repair route is established.
Confirm the authorised installation path
A compatible replacement and legitimate programming access need checking before parts are purchased. This guide does not recommend steering-lock emulators, immobiliser deletion or bypassing the vehicle’s security system.
