An open-wire diagnostic concerns the measurement connection or its test response. It should not be treated as a capacity test of the battery cell itself.
Interpreting the evidence
A qualified assessment should preserve the complete battery fault record and compare the affected measurement channels with the monitor’s diagnostic information. The vehicle-specific procedure determines how a sensing-path fault is distinguished from a genuine abnormal cell voltage.
Keep this evidence
Send the exact fault text, affected channel information and any recent battery-system work.
Do not open or probe a high-voltage pack to investigate this yourself. Pack inspection and isolation require the appropriate training and vehicle procedure.
Speak to AXION
For EV and hybrid diagnostic assessment, send your vehicle details and fault report. Workshop assessment is in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Suitable postal or remote work is confirmed before booking.
