A belt that will not extend after a collision needs the restraint assembly and incident assessed. An electronic controller service alone does not repair a belt mechanism or a deployed pretensioner.
How to approach the assessment
Do not dismantle the retractor or attempt to defeat its locking behaviour. Ask the repairer to establish the required parts and inspections for the vehicle. Give AXION the full fault and repair history if module assessment is also being considered.
