A bench service deals with the supplied controller within an agreed scope. It cannot inspect airbags, belts, sensors or wiring that remain on the vehicle elsewhere.
How to approach the assessment
Keep the module work record separate from the vehicle’s complete restraint-system repair documentation. The installing repairer remains responsible for following the applicable instructions and verifying the repaired system. An enquiry should state what has already been inspected and replaced.
