A file filled with the same value may represent erased memory, but it can also result from an unsuccessful read. File creation by a programmer is not proof that useful data was obtained.
Interpreting the evidence
Check device selection, connection and repeatability using an appropriate supported method. Compare file size and structure with what is expected for the identified memory. Preserve the result but label the read method and uncertainty clearly before it is used in a repair.

Keep this evidence
Send the complete file and log along with the chip and module references.
Do not overwrite the original on the assumption that a uniform file is a trustworthy backup.

For module programming and coding support, send your vehicle details and fault report. Workshop assessment is in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Suitable postal or remote work is confirmed before booking.
