A persistent warning indication needs the system’s exact message and behaviour recorded. An indicator showing a fault or unavailability may not mean the same thing as an active nearby-object warning.
Identify the indication
Consult the owner’s description and note which side is affected. Include bumper repairs, towing accessories and dirt or damage around relevant areas. Do not assume a mirror lamp itself is the failed sensor.
The workshop should compare the reported status with the actual sensing system and installation. Use direct observation for lane changes and do not rely on a feature behaving abnormally. A clear distinction between a fault indication and a false detection helps target the correct diagnostic process.
