Installing an older file is not automatically supported or suitable for a controller. Hardware, security and compatibility requirements can limit the available routes, even when an older version once existed for a similar vehicle.
Establish the supported option
Keep current and original identification, failure history and the reason a downgrade is being considered. Ask the specialist which manufacturer or tool-supported recovery procedure applies. Do not experiment with internet files to recover a familiar version number.
If the complaint began after an update, preserve evidence of the changed behaviour and contact the responsible provider. The assessment should address that symptom and available supported remedies. A software age comparison alone cannot establish that the older file will fix the fault or operate safely on the installed hardware.
