A car that accepts an ordinary AC charge but repeatedly refuses DC rapid charging needs the two behaviours documented separately. “The charger works” is too broad: identify the charging method, connector and exact session that succeeded.
Record the failed start sequence
Did the charging station accept payment or authorisation? Did the vehicle report a connection? Was any energy delivered before the session stopped? Save the station identifier, time and error message. A charging operator may be able to match those details to its session records.
Avoid an unsupported parts diagnosis
One failed rapid charger is not enough to identify a vehicle component. Repeated failures at otherwise suitable stations provide stronger context, but they still require investigation. Do not repeatedly retry if there is heat damage, a damaged connector or a vehicle safety warning.
For an AXION enquiry, include the AC result, DC results and the vehicle’s full diagnostic report where available. Ask whether the workshop’s proposed assessment covers the fault conditions. Confirm any recovery arrangements before moving a vehicle that cannot safely continue its journey.
