EV drive selector returns to neutral without an obvious reason

Record the order of events and whether a door, belt or other status message accompanied the change. Avoid assuming that the selector itself needs replacing. Unexpected loss of drive needs an assessment plan rather than repeated road testing.

What to tell us

  • Operating sequence.
  • Companion messages.
  • Previous selector work.

Before arranging work

A control display shows information or a request; it is not a substitute for assessing unexpected vehicle movement. Do not bypass interlocks or carry out manoeuvres to demonstrate an unsafe fault. Explain the sequence so the workshop can plan the right assessment.

Ask AXION about this fault. Send the vehicle details and the information above. Please agree an appointment or postal assessment with us before travelling or sending a module.
