A device can request network activity without proving that the complete function has recovered. Wake-up and successful operation answer different questions.
Interpreting the evidence
For an accessory that briefly comes alive after unlocking, record what happens next and whether the request repeats. Compare the power supply and control information during that sequence. Repeated wake activity may be relevant to a battery-drain complaint even when the device never completes its normal task.
Keep this evidence
Keep the unlock timeline, current recording if available and the affected function’s scan results.
Do not treat one visible wake pulse as a passed functional test. The original customer operation still needs to be checked.
