Choosing a replacement transistor solely because its resistance is lower can overlook other requirements. Switching behaviour, operating limits and heat handling all affect whether it suits the circuit.
Interpreting the evidence
A component-level repair should identify the original device and compare the relevant specifications, including the conditions under which they are quoted. The surrounding driver and load need assessment as well. A physically matching package does not establish electrical equivalence.
Keep this evidence
Send a clear module label and any details of a previous transistor replacement.
Substitution needs engineering evidence. A successful brief power-up is not enough to validate a replacement in the vehicle’s full operating range.
Speak to AXION
For ECU testing and component-level repair, send your vehicle details and fault report. Workshop assessment is in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Suitable postal or remote work is confirmed before booking.
