Post-collision repair invoice says reset but does not identify the system

The word reset can describe very different operations, from clearing a service reminder to controller work. An invoice should identify the system and the actual scope so the next workshop can interpret it.

How to approach the assessment

Ask for clarification rather than assuming airbags, crash records or driver-assistance systems were included. The repair history should distinguish fault clearing, programming, calibration and component replacement. A precise record is useful if a warning returns later.

Useful details to send

  • System and module involved.
  • Operation performed.
  • Supporting diagnostic or completion report.

Arrange the right assessment

This guide does not establish that a vehicle is safe to use. Restraint repairs need qualified assessment and the correct manufacturer instructions. A module service does not replace required component repairs or vehicle-level verification.

Ask AXION about your repair or read our SRS module assessment information. Workshop visits are by appointment in Didcot. Confirm suitability before posting any removed module.
