A relay sound does not establish that its switched circuit is delivering the required power. The command side and load side must be considered separately.
Ask what the click proves
Record the component being requested and any measurements made while it should operate. Include connector, fuse and load checks performed by the garage. A swapped relay that changes nothing is an observation, not proof that the controller is faulty.
Do not bridge relay terminals using an assumed layout. The technician should follow the correct circuit information and verify operation under relevant load. An enquiry should distinguish a missing control request, a failed switched path and a component that receives power but cannot perform its function.
