A pressure reading is meaningful only when its location and operating condition are known. Two figures from different circuits or temperatures may not be comparable.

What to check next

Record the test point, fluid temperature, selected state and manufacturer’s specification used. Compare the pressure behaviour with the complaint and diagnostic data. A useful report explains the conditions of the measurement instead of presenting one number as a universal gearbox verdict.
