Voltage and current recorded at different times can tell the wrong story

A current rise and a voltage dip may be related, but separate recordings do not prove their order. Timing is important when deciding whether a supply problem caused a load fault or followed it.

What to check next

Where the test requires it, capture the relevant signals together with a shared time reference. Keep enough pre-event recording to show which changed first. This can make a difficult intermittent fault much clearer than two attractive screenshots from separate attempts.

Useful information for an enquiry

Send the synchronised raw capture and the trigger condition.

Correlation supports an investigation but does not automatically establish cause. Circuit knowledge and repeatable evidence remain necessary.

Speak to AXION

For complex vehicle-electronics diagnostics, send your vehicle details and fault report. Workshop assessment is in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Suitable postal or remote work is confirmed before booking.
