About AXION Automotive
AXION specialises in complex vehicle diagnostics, automotive electronics, module repair and multi-brand programming. Based in Didcot, Oxfordshire, we support car owners and garages with engineering-led fault finding and suitable workshop, postal and remote work.
Electronics and avionics engineering applied to vehicle faults
AXION Automotive is led by a senior electronics and avionics engineer with extensive industrial engineering experience. That background brings a systematic approach to understanding how a vehicle’s systems work, checking the fault evidence and deciding which tests will give a useful answer.
Our work extends beyond engine ECUs to gearbox and transmission control modules, BCM, FRM and SAM modules, EV and hybrid systems, complex electrical diagnosis, and vehicle-specific dealer-level programming, coding and electronic upgrades. What we can do depends on your vehicle, its modules and the software access available.
Electronics, software and physical design together
A difficult job may cross several disciplines. A module needs its supply and communication checked, a replacement needs the correct configuration, or a small unavailable part needs a practical design solution. Our engineering capability helps bring those pieces together.
3D printing and parts development. Discuss hard-to-find covers, clips, holders, enclosures and custom-fit prototypes, with material suitability and the intended use assessed before production.
Robotics and control electronics. Enquiries can involve sensors, actuators, control boards, communication problems and the fixtures needed for development or repeat testing.
Test engineering. We agree the fault to investigate, the checks that can be made and which results still need confirmation on the vehicle or complete system.

Help with vehicle electronics repairs
AXION Automotive works with vehicle owners, independent garages, auto electricians and other repair specialists on ECU, TCU and control-module enquiries. We check the fault and explain which repair or replacement options are suitable.
Your vehicle details and test results help us work out what needs to happen next. Component-level repair can be appropriate for some faults; other jobs require a compatible donor, further vehicle diagnosis or replacement.
What we help with
ECU repair & cloning
Engine control unit assessment, electronic repair and compatible donor data transfer.
TCU & DSG electronics
Transmission controller and mechatronic electronics assessment, repair and cloning.
BCM & BSI repair
Body control module faults, water damage assessment and compatible data transfer.
SRS module assessment
Airbag control module assessment and supported crash-data services.
Keys & immobiliser support
Vehicle-specific key programming and immobiliser enquiries for authorised owners and garages.
EV & hybrid diagnostics
Discuss the vehicle, symptoms and required diagnostic work with our team before booking.
Module programming
Programming, cloning and adaptation support, subject to module and vehicle compatibility.
Electrical fault finding
Vehicle electrical diagnosis involving wiring, sensors, power supplies and control modules.
Module data recovery
Assessment of recoverable data from damaged or non-communicating automotive electronics.
What you can expect
- Understand the enquiry. Send the vehicle, module identification and fault details.
- Agree the route. We discuss postal assessment or the appropriate workshop arrangement.
- Assess the fault. The condition and findings determine practical options.
- Discuss the work. Confirm the proposed scope, price and estimated timing.
- Plan refitting or collection. Establish any remaining vehicle checks, coding or adaptation requirements.
For garages and trade customers
Your scan report and completed vehicle checks help us understand the module’s role in the fault. Include previous attempts and donor details, and keep a clear reference with each job so units can be identified correctly.
