Some hybrid vehicles use cabin-area air inlets as part of battery cooling. If the owner’s manual identifies such an intake, luggage, seat covers or debris near it can be relevant to a temperature complaint. The location and cleaning instructions are model-specific.
Start with the owner’s guidance
Check only the accessible area described in the manual. Do not remove battery covers or insert tools into the intake. Record any warning, unusually loud fan operation and the circumstances in which the obstruction was discovered.
Restoring the normal clear space does not prove that an existing fault is resolved. If warnings remain, request an assessment and explain how long the inlet may have been obstructed. Mention pet hair, interior modifications or prior trim work where relevant. A garage should use the correct inspection procedure rather than assuming that every hybrid has the same cooling layout or that a visible grille provides access to serviceable high-voltage components.
