Automatic high-beam availability depends on the vehicle’s equipment and operating conditions. A missing automatic function should be distinguished from a failure of manually selected high beam.
Compare manual and automatic operation
Record the message, camera-area condition and whether the feature previously worked. Include windscreen, camera or software work. Check normal settings and the owner’s operating conditions without deliberately testing around other road users.
If manual lighting works but the assistance feature does not, report that distinction. A workshop may need to assess camera information, setup and system faults rather than the lamp itself. Do not assume a generic camera calibration will resolve every unavailable message; the required checks depend on the actual vehicle and fault evidence.
