An EGR request and a position or flow-related response describe different parts of system operation. A mismatch is a diagnostic lead; it does not automatically identify the valve motor or engine ECU as defective.
Identify what each data item means
Keep parameter names, units and the operating state. Some readings describe position while others relate to inferred flow. Ask the workshop which comparison the manufacturer’s procedure requires.
Do not force the valve, alter wiring or suppress emissions monitoring. Mechanical restriction, circuit issues and measurement interpretation need appropriate separation. Include recent intake or exhaust work and the original codes. The final assessment should explain which function failed and how the evidence supports the proposed repair.
