An unfamiliar reset can affect settings that are separate from fault memory. If functions disappear afterwards, record the exact operation rather than describing it only as clearing codes.
Stop making further changes
Keep the tool name, selected menu and any saved reports. Retain legitimate backups and previous repair records. Do not load a random donor configuration to recreate missing options.
An authorised specialist should identify the supported restoration route for the actual vehicle. Explain which functions worked before and which changed immediately afterwards. The report should distinguish configuration recovery from repair of an existing hardware fault, and verify the restored functions rather than merely checking that the module communicates.
