A cold-only sound needs the start sequence and its duration recorded. A sound from an actuator, brake or drivetrain cannot reliably be identified from a brief written imitation. Avoid repeated starts solely to obtain a recording.

Describe a sound or vibration by when it occurs and where it is felt. The electric powertrain is only part of the vehicle. A diagnosis should consider the actual evidence rather than replacing a drive assembly because the car has no conventional engine.
