An insulation warning does not identify the battery pack as the only suspect

The high-voltage system includes more than the battery. A reported insulation problem needs to be located within the actual connected system before a major component decision is made.

What to check next

Review the complete fault record and operating state, then follow the vehicle’s approved diagnostic sequence. Evidence should explain why a particular circuit or component is implicated. This matters when a replacement estimate names the battery without showing how other connected loads were assessed.

Useful information for an enquiry

Send the full diagnosis and any written test results accompanying the estimate. Our EV and hybrid BMS assessment page explains the battery-system information to include before booking.

Do not continue charging or driving against the vehicle’s warning instructions. The next safe action depends on the exact message and condition.
