A PMIC fault state can hold a module inactive

A power-management device may supervise several supplies and the processor. The module can therefore remain inactive because a monitored condition has not been satisfied, rather than because all of its electronics are dead.

How to narrow it down

Record the supply sequence and available diagnostic state using the fitted device information. Check whether the cause is incoming power, an internal rail or processor supervision. The order of events is especially useful when the module repeatedly starts and stops.

What to include with the fault report

Supply the module identity and whether the fault began after programming, water ingress or a power event.

The fault state is evidence to investigate. Disabling supervision is not an acceptable repair strategy.

Speak to AXION

For ECU testing and component-level repair, send your vehicle details and fault report. Workshop assessment is in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Suitable postal or remote work is confirmed before booking.
