An electronic motor driver can stop applying drive in different ways. The waveform after a stop command therefore needs to be interpreted against the intended control mode.
Interpreting the evidence
Compare the command, motor current and output behaviour through the stopping event. Check whether the mechanical symptom is a delayed stop, abrupt stop or failure to move next time. The expected mode comes from the actual controller design, not from a generic motor test.
Keep this evidence
Include a capture covering movement and stopping, with the command state if available.
Do not change the control mode to conceal a mechanical problem or defeat a protective function.
