LIN pull-up problems after a wiring or module repair

A LIN circuit needs the intended pull-up arrangement to establish its recessive level. A missing or altered connection can change the signal.

What to check next

Review the exact circuit rather than adding a resistor based on a generic diagram. Compare the repaired section with the original wiring and inspect any changes made inside a controller. The leader and responder may have different electrical responsibilities.

Useful information for an enquiry

Record the part references and whether the fault existed before the wiring was modified.

A waveform improvement after an improvised modification is not proof of a correct repair. The finished arrangement must match the intended design.
