The 24706 is intended to check compatible glow plugs without removing them from the engine. It uses a vehicle power connection and LED indications. This can help organise an initial investigation before deciding whether further electrical measurements or removal are appropriate.
Check the setup before ordering
Identify the engine and glow-plug type first. Low-voltage, ceramic and pressure-sensor glow plugs need particular compatibility checks. Do not apply a test based only on the vehicle having a 12 V battery. Confirm the connection and application against the tool instructions.
