01539 describes headlamps without the required adjustment or basic setting in Ross-Tech’s VAG reference. The entry also includes level-sensor readings, damaged mountings and suspension changes. Clearing the code alone does not establish correct beam aim.
Calibration needs valid starting conditions
Tell the workshop about suspension lowering, sensor-link replacement and recent headlamp work. Keep the result of any attempted basic setting, especially if the procedure was refused or stopped. An out-of-range input should be investigated before another adjustment is attempted.
The assessment should distinguish electronic setup from physical beam alignment. A completed diagnostic routine is not a substitute for checking the lighting result using the appropriate equipment and vehicle procedure.
Bring the related warnings
Include level-control and headlamp-module faults together. If only one lamp appears affected, describe its position and behaviour without assuming its controller is the cause. Mounting and sensor information may be relevant elsewhere on the car.
AXION can review supported lighting-electronics and setup enquiries. Send the scan and repair history before ordering a replacement module. Poorly aimed headlamps can impair visibility or dazzle others, so arrange assessment promptly and avoid guessed adaptation values intended only to remove the dashboard warning.
Arrange an assessment
For complex electrical and network diagnostics, send the vehicle details and fault report to AXION. We support enquiries from drivers and garages. Workshop, postal and remote options depend on the job and are confirmed before booking.
Technical reference
Read the supporting technical documentation. The referenced design or vehicle application defines its scope; it is not a universal repair procedure.
