A battery current offset can affect accumulated charge estimates

A small persistent error in measured current can influence calculations that accumulate charge over time. That is different from a sudden real change in battery capacity.

Interpreting the evidence

Compare the reported current under clearly defined conditions using the manufacturer’s diagnostic process. Review recent sensor, battery or software work before interpreting a changing state-of-charge estimate. Calibration and measurement validity need consideration alongside battery condition.

Keep this evidence

Send the charging history, displayed charge behaviour and full battery fault record.

Do not recalibrate a current sensor by guessing a zero-current condition. The correct process depends on the vehicle and its active electrical loads.

Speak to AXION

For EV and hybrid diagnostic assessment, send your vehicle details and fault report. Workshop assessment is in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Suitable postal or remote work is confirmed before booking.
