A removed module’s response depends on an appropriate, supported bench setup. If the supply reaches its current limit, the observation must be interpreted with that setup rather than immediately labelled an internal short.
Keep setup and behaviour together
Only a competent specialist should establish the required connections and supply conditions. Record the approved configuration, current behaviour and whether communication ever begins. Do not raise limits repeatedly on an unknown circuit to force a result.
The report should distinguish a setup limitation from evidence of a defective unit. Vehicle identification and the original symptom still matter. A bench observation without connection and operating context cannot reliably establish how the module behaved in the vehicle or which repair is justified.
