A clean communication signal proves less than it first appears. The replacement sensor may transmit valid data while using a range or scaling that differs from the expected component.
Interpreting the evidence
Check the full part number and application, then compare decoded values with known conditions. Keep the raw counts and the conversion separate so a scaling mismatch can be identified. Replacing the ECU should not be the first response to a value that is consistently wrong after a sensor change.
Keep this evidence
Send the old and new part labels and the readings before and after replacement.
Electrical communication and mechanical fit are only part of compatibility. Vehicle-specific range and coding requirements still apply.
