Two sensor tracks disagreeing does not identify which track is wrong

Redundant measurements help a controller recognise an implausible condition, but a disagreement code may not identify the defective side. A shared supply or reference can complicate the picture.

What to check next

Record both tracks together through the operating range and compare their specified relationship. Look for the point at which they diverge and whether the supply or reference also moves. Mechanical movement and connector condition belong in the same investigation.

Useful information for an enquiry

Send both channel recordings, the full code and whether the fault appears at a particular position.

Do not force both signals to agree through wiring alterations. The controller’s plausibility checks are part of the system’s fault protection.
