A Network Short on One Branch Can Affect Several Reported Modules

Several missing controllers may share an affected route, but the vehicle topology must establish that relationship. Multiple communication records do not automatically mean several modules failed independently.

Map the symptom group

Keep the complete scan and note which functions failed together. Ask the workshop which shared paths it identified and how it tested that hypothesis. A list of absent modules is useful evidence when connected to the actual wiring layout.

Do not disconnect every controller randomly or bridge a suspect branch. The appropriate isolation method depends on the system. After repair, verification should include the affected route and original operating condition, rather than only one module responding during a brief diagnostic session.
