A sensor signal near zero can have several electrical causes

A low reading can mean a genuine low measurement, a shorted circuit, lost supply or a problem inside the receiving module. Those possibilities call for different repairs.

Interpreting the evidence

Start with the operating condition and expected signal range. Check supply and reference integrity, then follow the signal path using the correct circuit information. A module assessment becomes relevant when the external circuit has been properly tested and the fault remains at the input.

Keep this evidence

Provide the full fault wording, relevant live data and the tests already completed.

Zero volts by itself is not a component verdict. Some circuits normally approach a low level under valid operating conditions.
