A calibration routine can stop because prerequisites are unmet before any measurement or adjustment occurs. Preserve the actual refusal message rather than labelling the camera or radar defective.
Identify the missing condition
Keep the scan, equipment report and vehicle setup details. Ask the workshop which manufacturer requirements were checked. Bosch’s ADAS equipment information illustrates the importance of an appropriate calibration environment and equipment.
Do not repeatedly run the routine or alter unrelated coding to obtain a pass. The technician should resolve the stated prerequisite and assess any underlying fault. A completion report should distinguish a procedure that never started from one that ran and produced an out-of-range result.
