DQ500 P175D and P176E after pressure-sensor repair

New gearbox codes after a pressure-sensor repair need a before-and-after record. The fact that a sensor has been changed does not establish that the transmission is ready for adaptation or that every new fault has the same cause.

A public example with unresolved questions

An MHH Auto discussion reports P175D and P176E after sensor work on a DQ500 that previously stored P1735. The discussion contains further experiences and proposed causes. It does not justify a universal component fix. These codes must be read with the complete scanner description and the exact transmission identification. Read the public DQ500 discussion.

Basic settings have conditions

Ross-Tech’s 0BH/0BT guidance lists prerequisites and states that not every controller supports the same basic-setting function. It also asks for a complete scan and the recorded status information when basic settings fail. Repeatedly restarting the routine is not a substitute for finding why it aborts. Follow the current factory procedure for the fitted gearbox. Read Ross-Tech’s DQ500 guidance.

Send the repair trail

  • The original fault report and the report after the sensor work.
  • The gearbox identity, TCU label and software information.
  • Which components were replaced and which original data was backed up.
  • The exact stage where basic settings stop, with the status and abort information already captured.
  • Whether the vehicle has drive, which gears are affected and what changed after the work.

Do not drive a vehicle with unreliable engagement simply to see whether it learns its way out of the fault. Ask about a suitable diagnosis and transport route. We can review electronics work alongside the records supplied by the garage; hydraulic and mechanical findings may also be needed before a repair plan is agreed.

AXION supports owners and independent garages with TCU and DSG repair enquiries. Send your existing report through our repair enquiry form, or call 07440 134303. We will confirm whether the vehicle is needed at our Didcot workshop or whether a removed module is suitable for UK postal assessment.
